Day 1: Transfer to Nyungwe National park
Our expert driver guide will pick you up from Kigali International Airport and take you to Nyungwe National Park, where chimpanzees live and since Rwanda is home to a thousand hills, you will be enthralled by the country’s splendor as you travel over its meandering roads, diverse plantations, and hills. Check in for dinner and an overnight stay when you get to the lodge.

Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking and canopy walk
You will go for chimpanzee trekking early in the morning after breakfast, therefore to learn the dos and don’ts of chimpanzee trekking, you will first be transferred to the Uwinka visitors center and start the chimpanzee trekking activity by 5:30am as you watch the chimpanzees awaken from their nests and go about their daily lives, these adorable primates are the closest cousins to humans, sharing 98% of their DNA. When you encounter a chimpanzee family while hiking, you may spend an hour with them and you can recognize them by their hooting sounds.
After returning to the lodge for lunch and rest, you will take part in another incredible experience which is the canopy walk at Uwinka Visitor Center. This heart-pounding activity will allow you to soar over the forest canopy in Rwanda’s Nyungwe Forest National Park while perched up to observe the vegetation. You will return to the lodge for supper and an overnight stay following this adventure.

Day 3: Waterfall hike.
After breakfast in the morning, you will trek for three to four hours through the jungle to the Ndambarare Waterfalls, this pathway offers stunning views of the lush foliage and running streams, as well as the opportunity to witness a variety of species, including birds and primates. Go back to the lodge for relaxation, lunch, dinner and the night.

Day 4: White colobus monkey trekking and visit to Gisakura tea estate.
Breakfast shall be served and then you will wake up and transfer for briefings when doing the white colobus monkey trekking, by 8:00 am you can start the white colobus monkey trekking you will enjoy these lively primates when you come across them as they jump from one tree to another, feeding and having social interactions. After this activity you shall return to the lodge for lunch, rest and have a visit to Gisakura tea estate and have an amazing experience as you learn about tea from picking to brewing, and tasting the finished products. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Transfer to Volcanoes National park.
Get prepared for breakfast, leave the accommodation facility, and head to Volcanoes National Park. Once you get to the lodge and check in for dinner, lunch, and the night.

Day 6: Gorilla trekking and visit to Iby’Icawu cultural village.
After an early breakfast, go to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters in Kinigi. The dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking will be explained to you by 7:30. You will embark on an hour-long gorilla walk at 8:00 am under the guidance of a park ranger. The mountain gorilla family you are trekking carries 98% of human DNA. You may capture pictures while you watch them feed, interact with one another, and defend their families. You may encounter bush pigs, duikers, and several bird species throughout the mountain gorilla hike. Following the hike, you will return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation before visiting the Iby’icawu cultural village for a cultural experience. There, you will see dancers perform for you, learn about their way of life, and purchase mementos to take home. You will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay following this excursion.

Day 7: Transfer to Kigali International Airport.
