Ngezi nature trail

Ngezi nature trail is the only nature trail that one can do with children, Ngezi nature trail starts at the base of mount Bisoke and 90% of the trail goes through potato fields , is an open trail that makes you get to feel the breeze of the forest to do this trail you don’t need advance booking and anytime you get to the park they can assign to you agide and you get on the trail to this park.

Can someone do Ngezi nature trail without a guide?

No  all the trails  or activities in the park must be guided walks with an armed ranger guide as reason being that , there other dangerous animals that live within the national park such as the Cape buffalo and forest elephants , not only that but this is park is sub section of the former Virunga national park known  that was subdivided to create this parks,  so the park is huge and anything can happen and you find yourself inside Congo as there’s no boundaries inside the park

It’s charged $100 and it’s a day activity it’s start from kwamuchechuru park, it’s 1 hour activity where you can go into the park. It’s mainly to get chance to view the Buffalo’s and forest elephants that come to park for water within this lake, it also an able you enjoy the chance to walk within the park.

You must go with a guide and guide must be picked from information centre at Kinigi and you. This trail is close to where the Virunga backpack is located so one can even spend the night at this place while you’re doing this activity

The budget place to camp is virunga view camp site  and he camp it’s $20 per person
